We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in Melbourne.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end estimation process for commercial construction projects, driving successful tender outcomes, managing project risk and commercial viability, mentoring junior estimators, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business. You will report directly to the Preconstruction Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the preparation, review and submission of accurate and competitive estimates, tender responses, take-offs and project budgets for commercial construction projects.
Assess project scope, risks and opportunities, engage with subcontractors and suppliers, manage clarifications, and ensure all tender requirements are met.
Mentor and support Estimators and Junior Estimators, support with allocating workloads, conduct team briefings, and contribute to the ongoing development of the estimating team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic business growth.
ABOUT YOU
Successful applicants must have:
A Diploma of Building & Construction or equivalent qualification.
More than five years' experience in commercial construction estimation, with demonstrated success managing complex tenders and project pricing.
Strong commercial acumen, exceptional attention to detail, leadership capability, stakeholder management skills, and proficiency in construction estimating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
