We have an exciting opportunity for a Preconstruction Associate to join our Preconstruction team in Melbourne.
In this role, you will support all aspects of project design and delivery, including project planning, feasibility assessment, brief development, conceptualisation, detailed design, tender preparation and Design & Construct project delivery. Working closely with our design, estimating, projects and site management teams, you will help drive projects from planning through to design and construction and report directly to the Preconstruction Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and manage preconstruction activities including project planning, consultant engagement, design development, tender submissions and project handovers.
Review tender documentation, assess scope and pricing requirements, prepare reports and presentations, and support successful project bids and client engagement activities.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, designers, estimators and project delivery teams to develop design briefs, manage documentation, monitor budgets and programmes, and identify project risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards and project requirements while supporting seamless handovers and successful project delivery outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
Successful applicants must have:
Qualifications in Building & Construction, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline. White Card and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a Design & Construct, Preconstruction, Design, Project Management or related environment.
Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Experience with project management systems such as Buildlogic, Procore or similar will be highly regarded.
