The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our Interior Design Team in Brisbane.

As an Associate, you will be a key leader within Studio 103, responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects while leading and developing high-performing design teams. Working closely with the Design Director, you will oversee multiple projects, champion design excellence, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of the studio.

This role combines design leadership, project oversight, people management, and business development, offering the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and the future direction of the studio.

This role reports directly to the Design Director and plays a critical role in mentoring team members, maintaining quality standards, and supporting Studio 103's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee multiple projects from concept through to completion.

• Drive design quality, project performance and delivery outcomes across project teams.

• Lead, mentor and develop designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee project resourcing, budgets, programmes and quality assurance processes.

• Coordinate consultants, stakeholders and project teams to ensure seamless delivery.

• Contribute to business development, networking opportunities and studio growth initiatives.

• Support the development of studio processes, standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

• Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline.

• 7+ years' experience in a senior interior design position across commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality and/or residential sectors.

• Demonstrated experience leading project teams and delivering complex design projects.

• Strong people leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others.

• Commercially minded with experience managing project budgets, resources and client expectations.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

• A strategic thinker who is passionate about design excellence, business growth and team success.
